Why not a simple resize

Resizing an image upward just stretches existing pixels: the result is bigger, but blurry. The model used here was trained on thousands of low- and high-resolution image pairs to learn how to reconstruct plausible detail: sharper edges, richer textures, without the blur of a plain stretch.

Which factor to choose

• x2: the fastest, for a reasonable doubling of resolution.
• x3: a compromise between resolution gain and processing time.

What this tool does not do
